The Story...
The Serpenree have been at war with the Lupinari for what seems like forever.
Prisoners work under horrible conditions, forced to bend to the Serpenree’s will. The Phoenix, supposed creator over all of Orythia, is silent to their ears.
There, on the Serpenree planet of Lacertilia, Rina is a halfling where halflings are hated most. Her closest thing to a friend is a Serpenree guard who hardly shares her feelings.
When an unexpected opportunity shows itself, will she take it? What will become of her secret, which she believes no one, including herself, holds?
Old rivalries rise to the surface. Each of the planets has their own story to tell.

Ava Murbarger is a young author of fantasy and science fiction, passionate about crafting stories that find the light without ignoring the dark. A Christian, homeschooler, and pastor’s kid, she lives with her parents and younger brother.
She’s been telling stories for as long as she can remember, but her writing took root as more than a hobby when she realized how rare it was to find truly meaningful stories. Since then, she’s written countless pages, edited works for fellow writers, and committed herself to creating stories that others might just want to read.
Her interests include mythology, wolves, and architecture, and when she’s not writing, she can usually be found with a book in hand, strumming her guitar, or spending time with friends and family.
